Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is a horror first-person shooter game and the sequel to Valve Corporation award-winning Left 4 Dead. The game was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 on November 17, 2009 in the United States and November 20, 2009 in Europe. Left 4 Dead 2 was made available to the Steam client for Mac OS X in the year 2010.

Set during after an apocalyptic pandemic, Left 4 Dead 2 focuses on four new survivors fighting against hordes of the infected, who develop severe psychosis and exhibit zombie-like tendencies. The survivors must fight their way through five campaigns, interspersed with safe houses that act as checkpoints, in order to escape the finale each campaign.
