$30 more than a $35 drive is a chunk of change and a standalone player is an excellent and energy efficient alternative

Cons: I had to reformat my computer due to kids downloading things they shouldn't have. Upon re-installing the code proved was invalid which was a hassle, contacted Arcsoft support and was given a new key and reactivated. Well since then I have moved, had the internet setup and now when I try to watch Blurays I get the Activation message again so I enter the info which was given by Arcsoft Support and guess what INVALID!
This product was activated and recontacted Arcsoft support about 7 days ago, Still waiting for a response. I feel that if you're paying so much for a product like this, you should at least get an activation key that works. I'll most likely not recommend this since it's a headache to even maintain. To bad I can't get my money back for a product I can't even use..
Totalmedia Theatre 5 Free Download With Crack
Pros: It does exactly what it claims to do. It plays all my video files, including my Bluray disc's, with no problems. The program works under Windows MCE seamlessly which makes it very user friendly.
Cons: The regular price for this program, ~$100, is outrageous and I would have never paid that amount for it. Fortunately, Newegg had it on sale a few months ago.
The user interface,if used on it's own, is kind of clunky and hard to work with but since I use it under Windows MCE it doesn't bother me.
Overall Review: When I built my HTPC I originally installed a DVD-R drive because I heard of lot's of problems trying to get a decent software program to play Bluray Disc's on a PC. Then a company I'm familiar with came out with what was supposed to be a perfect program for playing Bluray disc's on a PC. So, I bought a BD-ROM drive for my HTPC and installed the aforementioned software. Man, that was a nightmare. I finally removed that program and was left with a BD-ROM drive that wouldn't play Bluray Disc's. Then I saw this program on sale at Newegg and decided to give it a try. I'm very glad I did. Since the program, as I have it set up, works under Windows MCE I don't know to what extent it effects all my files, but I know for a fact that it allows Windows MCE to play my Bluray Disc's and that's the main reason I got it. I was finally able to get rid of my stand alone Bluray/DVD player.
I haven't tried any of the editing features yet so I can't comment on those.

Overall Review: I purchased this rubbish 3 days ago and all I am getting is cannot connect to server to activate it after entering the newegg e-mail and the key code I get a cannot connect to server error complete waste of money. and new egg won't offer me a refund junk to that I am not paying 80 bucks for a free trial I will be having my bank go after them and get my money back if it comes to that

Pros: Does everything that it advertises w/o flaws or hang-ups. Super easy to navigate and utilize even for newbs.
Cons: ***Had major issues with playback when I tried to use the software with a dual monitor setup*** I'm still trying to resolve the issue but it would seem that it's not allowing playback unless there is only one screen hooked up at a time... It could also be my lack of DVD/Blu-ray software experience.
Pros: When I started planning a HTPC, I also start pricing PowerDVD. I must have caught PowerDVD just as the new release 13 came out. Wow! the price PowerDVD 13 was very expensive--around $40 more than what I paid for PowerDVD 12, last year (note, since that time, the discounted PowerDVD 13 price has returned to normal).
Anyway, I went looking for an alternative and found TotalMedia Theatre 6. The reviews were good and its price was even cheaper than PowerDVD 12, so I gave it a try. Now 2 months later, I've played several Blu-ray movies (including most of the extras) with nary a glitch.

Overall Review: Prices for software goes through ups and downs. Over the last 4-6 months, TotalMedia Theatre 6 just happens to have stayed much cheaper than PowerDVD 13. PowerDVD is great, but so is TotalMedia Theatre 6, so check the price and make your own decision.
Pros: It plays Blurays and 3D!
It has a decent look and feel to it, very smooth. (Im mostly a VLC user so looks don't matter to me)
Feels light weight compaired to things like Win Media Player or Divix, which is awesome. Seems to not have any issues with Win8, so far.
Cons: It cost alot while not on sale... Worth 80$?
I'd reccomend just making new emails and continuing the trials for that price... or Torrent it if you're that kind of person...
I have not tryed many BLplayers, after my trial of this ended I tryed 2 more trials of other things and hated them... Hated...
Overall Review: I bought this because I needed something to play my Blurays (The drive I bought was OEM) I had tested Arcsoft's Theater 5 before I bought this so I knew what I was getting.
Got on sale for 21$ and for that price I highley reccomend!
