The standard edition of GTA V includes many different kinds of Weapons (the Special/Collector's Edition versions of the game come with an additional 3 weapons).

If you have linked your copy of GTA V with the Rockstar Social Club, you will receive a totally free Assault SMG with all attachments unlocked for all characters as soon as you enter an Ammu-Nation store.

All firearms can be bought and customized; only 2 melee weapons can be bought from a store.

You must pass certain missions before purchasing weapons. An in-game email will alert each of your characters when new stock is available to buy. Almost all weapons can be obtained for free as you progress through the game and various side/story missions will give you a weapon and ammo.

The Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun, and Hammer are exclusive to the Special/Collector's Edition of GTA V.

Additional Throwable[edit]

Jerry Cans, while not technically a throwable item, count under this category.

These items are used to pour a stream of gasoline across an area which can be ignited by shooting the stream at any point.

They can be bought at Ammu-Nation after a certain point in the game, are acquired through some story/side missions and can also be found commonly at gas stations around Los Santos.

Unlockable Weapons and Upgrades[edit]

• Assault SMG - Link your game with Rockstar Social Club.
• Crowbar - In the Quarry by a porta-potty - head right at the first fork, right up a hill then left into a small dead end. Underwater in a shipwreck to the North West of the map amongst some islands.
• Baseball Bat #1 - Beside purchaseable property Hookiees, the one with all the porta-potties inside.
• Baseball Bat #2 - Behind the Bayview Lodge, you meet Cletus here to hunt Elk for one of the 'Strangers And Freaks'.
• Baseball Bat #3 - Inside the cannibal camp (the one Trevor can deliver hitchhikers to) atop a rock in front of some log benches. The cannibals are extremely hostile, and character choice does not define how much they want to eat you.
• Baseball Bat #4 - Inside the storeroom of the discount store beside Ammunation on Route 68.
• Golf Club - You can acquire this weapon by asking ever-so-nicely of someone wielding one around a golf course.
• Molotov x5 #1 - 500m south of Hookiees, under the arch of a small bridge. place a marker on the property and drive (so you can check distance from target) south, the arch should be under the first street lights you encounter.
• Molotov x5 #2 - Go south down the road next to the purchaseable Los Santos Customs (Sandy Shores) store, and take the second right, ascending a swerving dirt road, at the intersection go straight ahead and you will be in Stoners Cement Works, the Molotovs are beside the parked tractor in the corner of a small sheltered area.

We've all cheated before, way back to the NES days (think Konami Code). But cheats excel that joy in a game and bring new, unique twists. Here, we've come up with the five best cheats in Grand Theft Auto 5 you should know, as well as a detailed-description for each one. Note that these codes will block your achievement/trophy attempts, so keep a separate save file if you're still working on them. Enjoy!
Note: Use the D-Pad for inputting directional codes, not the analog sticks. For instance, the cheat may say 'Left.' This is entirely easier because your commands may be skewed from moving the sticks.
1. Upgrade Your Arsenal Free (Give Weapons)
Do you find it rather depressing spending your hard-earned cash at Ammu-Nation? Well, this code should take care of that; it grants you all the good weapons (Tier 1), including the Rocket Launcher. Re-enter it as much as you please to replenish your ammo.

2. These Bullets Explode (Bang Bang!)
What could be better, further accurate and more fun than the Rocket Launcher? Bullets that explode. Not only does this cheat work great against vehicles (they can easily tip them over or detonate them), but it also has a hilarious outcome on humans. If someone talks smack, launch them hard with a single bullet. This is extremely helpful against cops, the Army, and missions with large waves of enemies.

3. Get to the Chopper (Spawn a Buzzard)
The exclusive Blimp included in the game package was nice, but we found a far better aerial craft to use and get around in GTA 5. The Buzzard is a helicopter that allows you to fly around Los Santos and Blaine County quickly and see its beautiful sceneries. Even better, it comes equipped with both a turret and rockets in case you ever want to defend yourself – or just have the urge to cause havoc.

4. I'm Learning to Fly, But I Ain't Got Wings (Skyfall)
It's a Bird, it's a plane, it's...Michael De Santa? Perhaps one of the coolest cheats ever, inputting this code will automatically spawn your character in the sky (above your position from the ground). That's right – you'll be flying in the air as wind smacks you in the face fiercely. This predicament is similar to skydiving (you still descend as you move onward), but it's simply pure fun. Unfortunately, you won't be able to use your parachute in the process unless you ram into a landscape somehow and resurface in the air. This can easily result in an instant death, but you can always activate the Invincibility cheat (covered below) and combine it with this code; it's by far the most enjoyable and fastest way to travel.

5. Can't Touch This – Invincibility
There's one cheat that refills your health and armor, but this code is a tad better. Keep in mind the Invincibility cheat only lasts FIVE minutes; you'll have to re-input it when the time runs out. (The time limit is shown on the lower-right of the screen.) That's a bummer, but it gives you plenty of time to unleash chaos and not have to worry about taking a trip to the hospital and paying that expensive fee. Besides defending yourself with a handful of enemies and preventing injury, this cheat allows you to explore unique experiments with the game. Try hopping out of a plane, skydiving, or parachuting, and then nail the ground from far above. No worries for death here – or even a scratch.
