Around the movie

  • MGR plays two roles, that of the elder son, Shankar, the taciturn man, sinks and of the second brother, Vijay Kumar, the cheerful, alive and kicking being. Two opposite(opposed) characters.
  • MGR is bluffing in these characters of Shankar and Vijay. We would say two full actors.
  • MGR-Vijay achieves a beautiful scenic performance, he adapts himself very well fashionably disco in this movie.
  • The dialogues of NAALAI NAMADHE are powerful.
  • The killer (embodied by a machiavellian M. N. Nambiar) has a peculiarity: he is one foot bigger than the other one. It is what will lose him finally.
  • The very beautiful music of M.S.V. is an essential element of the movie, because it is thanks to one of the songs that the brothers recognize themselves.
  • In movie, we can hear a dialogue (among so many others) (at 1.25.59, it depends on copies, when Nambiar puts back some money to the MGR-Shankar to steal a statuette) which MGR declares 'En vazhi, tani vazhi...' who means more or less, My way is a unique way. Several years later, in 1999, Rajinikanth resumed this passage in its movie called PADAYAPPA.
